As I pursue my new love of photography, I'm discovering how much I prefer to shoot subjects up close.
There's something about catching every detail that fascinates me.
I went on a hike today with my family along a trail that runs close to the foothills in Boulder, CO.
A very cool place.
My goal today was two-fold: chronicle my family's moments on this hike and find subjects to shoot
up close.
I caught this.
An old, weathered tree branch.
I was amazed by its crumbly, flaky texture.
It's like I could peel pieces of the bark off the tree.
